Ceramics - Making the ideal coffee cup

I’m definitely on a roll this month, and in the process of seeking out different ways of working with my hands, these projects push me to understand materials in its different forms - and functions, possibilities. Starting out ceramics with the lovely Tricia of Pinch Studio with handbuilding techniques - slab building cylinders - has been a real work out in terms of being confronted with form(s). Naturally, I would have wanted to make some coffee cups - an exercise for beginners, and also a good opoprtunity to consider what makes an ideal cup for a hot brew.
