August 2019 - Ongoing, Native Explorations
Inspired by the folks at Materiom, and Mai from Fablab Saigon, bioplastics present a world of possibilities – in terms of materiality, the incorporation of a combination of organic material, and of course, in terms of it’s potential as a very viable alternative to plastics. As with my exploration of other materials (i.e. beeswax, clay these projects teach me a lot about materials in its different forms, properties, and functions. With waste generated and ingredients used at Native as starting points, I have been slowly exploring the world of kombucha - vegan leather, and the fascinating world of mycelium. Will be documenting further (thought) process - formulations here.
