Exploring Beeswax - and soaps

What started off as a curious task to reduce organic waste at work - and make new candles, learning about the differences between types of waxes. I chanced upon beekeeper Lesster Leow, aka the Little Honey Man. I bought some unbleached beeswax from him, a dark caramel - honey color, and what a difference it makes to a candle - a warm, honey scent emanating from the wax when it melts. As a material, wax displays interesting properties at various temperatures - learning to temper wax is quite a skill to master! Will be sharing further documentations on candle - making here along the way.
